Container gardening can be quite interesting and is a favorite pastime for many people, not to mention the fruits of your labour will compliment the luxury kitchen accessories perfectly while serving at the next dinner party. Another important thing is sunlight. Plants should receive ample sunlight, which is for at least 5 hours a day, even if you plan to keep them indoors. Make sure they get the daily dosage. Organic fertilizers are also a good option if you really want to keep the plant in good condition for a long time. If possible, you can even add some vermiculite or peat mix for the purpose.
Watering is another important aspect which is often neglected by many which leads to under nourished plants. Actually potted plants need more watering than plants which have been planted on the ground.

It might look tedious to do gardening with containers, but actually is very easy from the management point of view. You can always use old plastic containers for the purpose as it lowers the total cost of gardening. You can grow many types of vegetables like tomatoes, eggplants etc.
